Welcome!
Welcome to my blog!
This blog is inspired through a Watershed Stewardship course by a graduate student in the Masters of Natural Resources program at Virginia Tech--ME!
Here I will focus on and give updates for Spout Run. Spout Run is a stream that is located near Millwood, VA. Millwood is approximately 1.5 hours from our Nation's Capitol, Washington D.C.
Spouts Run watershed
Spout Run flows into the Shenandoah river
then headed toward the Potomac
onward to the Chesapeake Bay
and finally to the Atlantic Ocean.
Currently Spout Run has 3 tributaries that stem from 3 areas of the surrounding landscape.
All of these areas buffer a small town. Roseville run and Page Brook border Boyce, Va while Westbrook Run is roughly 2 miles south.
Check back to see the new additions to the site as we look more closely at Spout run and its tributaries overall landscape.
